Matt is an accomplished and award-winning architect with more than 25 years professional experience and serves as the principal architect for all projects at MBA.  Matt has extensive experience in the design of government/military facilities, medical facilities, university facilities, single and multi-family residential projects, and corporate/commercial architecture.  Matt's project experience includes additions, alterations, and new construction projects with construction values ranging from under $25,000 to over $25 million.  As a seasoned project manager, Matt is comfortable working one-on-one or leading large teams of stakeholders and consultants.

Matt earned his Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and is an NCARB Certificate holder.  Matt is currently licensed to practice architecture in Virginia, North Carolina, New York, Florida, Arizona, and California.

Matt is also a LEED Accredited Professional and an EarthCraft Virginia Multifamily Design Professional.  Matt has successfully developed and implemented sustainable design strategies for both commercial and residential projects.  Several of these projects have been certified by national and regional sustainable building authorities including the US Green Building Council and EarthCraft Virginia.
